Accessibility Statement
Room for everyone is one of our three house rules. That covers this website and the shop on South Congress — here is where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to find us, read our menu, and sit down for a coffee without extra effort. We review this site and the shop regularly, train staff on accessible service, and treat reported barriers as bugs to fix — not complaints to manage.
Website standard
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website. That includes:
- Text and interface colors chosen for sufficient contrast against our cream backgrounds;
- Full keyboard navigation, visible focus, and skip-free menus that work with screen readers;
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative doodles hidden from assistive tech;
- Animations that respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting;
- Forms with labels and clear error messages.
Known limitations
- The embedded Google Map is provided by a third party and may not be fully accessible — our address and directions are also given as plain text.
- Some guest photos on the gallery have short, general descriptions.
Physical access
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Entrance | Step-free from Congress Ave via a 1:12 ramp with handrails on both sides |
| Front door | 36” clear width, lever handle, held open during busy hours |
| Interior doors | 34” minimum, including the patio door and roast-room viewing area |
| Restroom | Single-occupancy, gender-neutral, ADA-compliant with grab bars, 60” turning space and lowered sink |
| Seating | Accessible-height tables inside and on the patio; booths can be pulled out on request |
| Parking | Two ADA spaces in the rear lot on Mary St, with a level path to the patio gate |
| Service animals | Always welcome, inside and out |
We will bring your order to your table and can read the menu aloud. A large-print menu is at the bar. Music is kept at talking volume; Sunday 4–7pm is our loudest time.
Report a barrier
If something on this site or in the shop made it harder for you, please tell us. Include what you were trying to do and, for the website, the page and any assistive technology you use.
- Email: access@example.com
- Phone: (512) 555-0147 during open hours
- In person: ask any barista for the floor manager
We will reply within two working days and tell you what we are doing about it. If you need information from this site in another format, we will provide it.
